KILN DRIED AND SEASONED LOGS, KINDLING & FIRE LIGHTERS In order to get the most from your stove it is essential that you burn good quality well seasoned timber.  We  sell The Certainly wood firewood that is sourced from sustainable woodland.  This is the timber that we burn  in our showrooms and we have noticed a huge differece in the efficiency of the stoves when burning this  Wood.  We are not alone as the Certainly wood timber is also recommended by most UK stove  manufacturers and distributors.   Freshly harvested wood contains a naturally high amount of water, between 65-90% depending on the species. Removing the water is known as seasoning. This term suggests a period of time, and for natural air drying up to two years is recommended.
