Beams and shelves are a popular alternative to the traditional fire surround.  We supply beams and shelves in various finished and sizes.  Aged Beams (as shown in the picture below) and Extremely Aged Beams authentically replicate the appearance of old beams.  Rustic Beams have a mainly smooth surface and have just a little distressing to the corners and edges.    MADE TO MEASURE SERVICE All of the beams are available ‘made to measure’  where the beams can be cut to any length.  Please ask  in store for more details.   HOLLOW BEAMS Hollow beams are manufactured using 21mm kiln dried  oak.  These are much lighter that the other options  (except the facia beam).    These hollow beams are available in two lengths  (1220mm and 1370mm) and are 102mm deep and  178mm high.   These are available in the following finishes:-  Aged Oak (Bottom left)  Pine Antique White / Limestone (top right)  THE STANDARD BEAM The standard beam is availble in two lengths  (1220mm and 1370mm) and in 140mm high and  70mm deep.  It is available in a choice of Timbers and  finishes. THE FACIA BEAM The Facia beam provides a simple solution for  dressing the fireplace.  It is available in two lengths  (1220mm and 1370mm) and two depths 70mm and  30mm).  It is available in a range of timbers.  Please call in store for further details as we have various examples on display. In order to hang the heavier beams and shelves onto an existing wall a substantial bracket has been designed to simplify the fitting called the ‘Easy-fix’ system.  See picture on the right. BEAMS FOR FIREPLACES AND RANGE COOKER INGLENOOKS THE DEEP BEAM The deep beam is available in Rustic, Aged and  Extremely Aged finishes.  The Aged and the  Extremely aged beams are cut from the heart of the  log and therefore feature natural knots, splits and  shakes.  The Rustic beams have mainly smooth  surfaces with just a little distressing to the corners  and edges.  The deep beam is available in a range of timbers  and finishes.  SHELVES FOR ABOVE THE FIREPLACE AND RANGECOOKER INGLENOOKS We offer a range of shelves which have been designed specifically to compliment your stove or to be located above your Range Cooker.  These are available in a range of timbers and finishes.  A made to measure service is also available in some of the range.   CLASSICAL SHELF The large classical shelf, takes inspiration from its  curves and simplicity.
